Dorothy May "Dot" Chahon Hatch, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2013, after a long illness, at Nazarene Senior Care Home. She was born March 23, 1922, along with a twin brother, to Gustave Cecil and Clara Adams Chahon, in Willits, Calif. Dot married Lazelle D. Bronson in Midway, Utah, Feb. 28, 1947; they later divorced. She then married Richard "Dick" Hatch Aug. 20, 1952, in Elko. They lived in many places throughout their 58 years of marriage, but their favorite places were Heber City, Utah, Casa Grande, Ariz., and especially, Las Vegas. Dot always loved to do nice things for everyone and had many friends who loved and appreciated all of her gifts and talents. She loved going to the casinos and playing her coins. All of the nieces and nephews recall her telling them to come and give "Auntie Dottie a kiss." Her laugh was contagious and she always had a good joke to tell, usually about herself! She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, William Clyde (twin), Donald and Raymond; sister, Edith; and her husband, Dick. She is survived by her sister, Jane of Fort Bragg, Calif.; brothers-in-law, Bill (Fern) Hatch of Price, Utah, and Boyd Bowden of Vernal, Utah; sisters-in-law, Ramona (Gary Cooper) Roman of Las Vegas, Lala Hatch of Heber City, and Paula Hatch of Walnut, Calif.; and countless nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday Aug. 5, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Dick, at the Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
