Mary Ellen Sterling, 80, passed away June 15, 2007. Mary Ellen was born in Jamestown, NY and had lived in Jacksonville since 1986. She was catholic by faith. Mary Ellen is survived by her loving husband, of 63 years, Joseph; sons, Joseph A. (Jeannie) Sterling of West Hartford, CT and John A. Sterling of St. Augustine, FL; daughters, Ellen (Dan) Bridge of Pearland, TX and Nancy R. Grathwohl of Charleston, SC; sister, Rita Jones of Tucson, AZ; fourteen grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Mary Ellen's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 in the funeral home chapel with Father Bernie Ahern officiating. Donations may be made to Project Hope. Hardage-Giddens Manadarin Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd. is serving the family.
