Word was received Thursday of the death of Harry Patton, 82, a native and former resident of Waynesburg which occured November 14, 1974, at his home 322 Dunlap Street in the North Side section of the city.
His death followed a gradual decline in health during the past few years and resulted from a complication of ailments.
Mr. Patton's parents were Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Patton. His father was a physician whose office and residence was on E. High Street in the block between Morgan and Cumberland Streets.
He was a graduate of Waynesburg High School in the class of 1913 and attended Waynesburg College for two years. He was employed at the former Ullom & Bailey drug store shortly after the firm was organized. He served in World War I with the Spruce Division in Oregon.
He was married to the former Gertrude Sutton of Waynesburg. They were the parents of a son and daughter, each of whom are deceased. He was the last member of his own family. John Miller, former Waynesburg automobile dealer now of Fort Lauderdale.
After leaving Waynesburg Mr. Patton was a regional salesman for a Pittsburgh packaging materials company.
An interment service will be held in Oakmont cemetery at a date to be announced. There will be no public viewing.
