US Congressman. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, in 1906, from its law department in 1910, was admitted to the bar and commenced to practice law in Edgerton, Wisconsin. He was Edgerton City Attorney, (1912-32), a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, and served in the Wisconsin State Senate. In 1933, he was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-third Congress, serving until 1935. Being nominated a candidate for reelection, he withdrew and proceeded to practice law until his death at age 80.
