WEST FRANKFORT -- Isolde York, age 89, of West Frankfort died March 27, 2002, at 5:45 p.m. at Westside Care Center in West Frankfort.
She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Thompsonville to Uel and Della (Boatright) Fox.
She was married to Gilbert York in 1945 in Mount Vernon, and he preceded her in death in 1971.
Survivors include two brothers, the Rev. Bill Fox and his wife, Mary, of West Frankfort and the Rev. Gerald Fox and his wife, Fairy, of Kankakee; and stepdaughter-in-law, Dorothy York of West Frankfort.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Frankfort and had worked as an cosmetology instructor for Southern, Illinois University at Carbondale.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, at Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort, with the Rev. Bill Fox and Dr. Richard O. Fox officiating. Burial will be in the Tower Heights Cemetery in West Frankfort. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort.
Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Clothing Room and will be accepted at the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home.
