Wayne W. Woepse, age 78 passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born on April 27, 1936 in Sheboygan to parents Ervin and Meta (Hetzel) Woepse. Wayne was united in marriage to Mary Lou Carranza on May 28, 1960 at Lakeland College. Together they took care of the family farm. He enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors. He was a long time member of St. John U.C.C. - Schwarzwald, and care-taker of St. Paul's Cemetery, Town of Mosel.
Wayne is survived by three children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One sister, Janet (Melvin) Bitter, two sisters-in-law; Lydia Galvin and Beatrice Mata. Also loved by other relatives and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Mary Lou and one daughter Belinda Woepse.
Visitation on Thursday, March 12 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Howards Grove). Continued visitation at St. John's UCC - Schwarzwald, Orchard Rd., Elkhart Lake on Friday, March 13, from 9:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Melinda Feller presiding. Burial to follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Town of Mosel.
