Anton C. Novak, age 86, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday morning, June 13, 1993, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Ronald Reimer and his nephew Rev. Robert Fictum, with burial at St. Anne Church Cemetery, Francis Creek.

He was born March 24, 1907, in the Town of Gibson, Manitowoc County, son of the late James and Rose Robinson Novak. He married Frances A. Haws August 22, 1933, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. After their marriage the couple resided in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death August 18, 1983. Mr. Novak was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding for many years until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and Boilermakers Local No. 443.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Bette and Herman Holzer, Manitowoc, Janet and Milton Cisler, Manitowoc; a very special and loving friend, Myriel Zunker, Two Rivers; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward Novak, Mishicot, John Novak, Manitowoc, Chester and Grace Novak, Francis Creek; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Emma and Tony Krystofick, Lena, Wis,. Julia Flentje and Esther and Edward Krejcarek, all of Mishicot; seven grandchildren, Ann (Bill) Klackner, Manitowoc, Michael Holzer, Two Rivers, Daniel Holzer, Manitowoc, Cathy (Douglas) Riesterer, Copperas Cove, Texas, Jeffrey (Laura) Cisler, Manitowoc, David (and his fiancée Nikki; Cisler, Howards Grove, Michele (James) Luckow, Newton; eight great grandchildren, Amy, Dawn and Julie Klackner, Jeffrey Jr., Kayla and Ashley Cisler, Brittany and Justine Riesterer. He is further survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Henry Hoffman, Kaukauna, Dorothy Novak, Maribel, Berniece Novak, Manitowoc, Eleanore Fictum, Denmark, Loretta and John Heerey, Brockfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, James, Alvin and Joseph, and three sisters, Elizabeth Belongia, Katherine Wilda and Lillian Hoffman.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning at St. Paul Catholic Church, from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A Prayer Service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening by Deacon William Klein.
