MARIAN M. WAGNER
(1916 - 1989)
Mrs. Marian M. Wagner, dearly loved mother, grandmother and sister, was called to her eternal home on Sunday, October 8, 1989 after a courageous 32 year battle with multiple sclerosis. Marian, aged 73, a resident of St Mary Home, Manitowoc, died at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:45 am Wednesday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc and 10:30 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Donald Schneider and burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery, Francis Creek.
Marian was born July 4, 1916 at Cooperstown, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Mark and Josephine Steinbrecher Nachtwey. She married Arthur J. Wagner on October 1, 1935 at Cooperstown, Wisconsin. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 1, 1985. Her husband preceded her in death on January 2, 1987. Mrs. Wagner was an honorary member of St. Anne Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society of St. Anne Church.
She will be sadly missed by her five children, Ronald (Patricia) Wagner of Francis Creek, Richard (Barbara) Wagner of Green Bay, Rita (Don) Kohlbeck of Manitowoc, Judy (Lee) Cookle of Mequon and Joyce (Richard) Katzka of Francis Creek; two brothers, Al (Lucille) Nachtwey of Green Bay and Norman Nachtwey of Mishicot; three sisters, Marie Meyer, Evelyn (Wilbur) Wojta and Rita (Ernie) Zahorik, all of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren, other relatives and many special friends at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roman Nachtway; a sister, Mildred Schuster and a grandson, Todd Kohlbeck.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral home, 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday where a prayer service will be 7 pm by Rev. Tom Wojciechowski.
