Arthur was the fourth of five children born to Andrew J. and Margaret Ellen (Brown) York. He married Elsie Ruth Harmon in 1921 and they were the parents of eight children: Margaret Florence, Mary L., Edward Leo 'Ed', Nellie Belle, John Leroy, Carl, Della May and Oliver Henry.

Mr. Arthur J. York, 5529 LaPinta Dr., father of Mrs. Margaret Campbell, Mrs. Mary Holmes, Mrs. Nellie Minor, Mrs. Della Williams, Edward, John L., and Carl York, brother of Orville and Virgil York, 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, passed away Wednesday. Funeral Saturday morning 10:30 o'clock, FLANNER & BUCHANAN BROAD RIPPLE MORTURAY. Friends invited.
