William Frederick "Red" Dommer, age 89, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton, OH, October 11, 1914 to the late August and Myrtle (Buchtel) Dommer. He was a 1932 graduate of McKinley High School and retired as a supervisor from Ohio Power Company after 36 years of service. He was a member of Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville. He made many wonderful friends through his work and his memberships which included Louisville F. O. E. # 2374, American Legion Louisville Post # 548, V. F. W. # 3747 of Canton, Ohio Power Retirees and McKinley Alumni Association. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Elta "Dotty" (Hemphill) Dommer; his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Frank Gonzalez of Canton; his cherished grandchildren, Gregory James Gonzalez and Casey Elizabeth Gonzalez; sisters-in-law, Hazel Hemphill and Peggy (Earle E.) Wise; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by, brother John Dommer, sisters Mary Naegeli, Dorothy Decker.
