Floren T. Wood, 72 years, of Waynesburg, a veteran of World War I, died Tuesday, July 14, 1959, in the Veterans' Hospital, Swannanoa, North Carolina, where he had been a patient nine months. Mr. Wood was a son of Ezra Sayers Wood and Agnes Wood and was born November 13, 1886, in Center Township. On September 26, 1926, he was united in marriage with Jennie Tustin. Mr. Wood was a veteran of World War I, having served wtih the Spruce Squadron in Oregon and was a member of James Farrell Post 330, American Legion. Surviving are his wife; six sons, Floyd and Russell Wood of Washington; William Sayers Wood of Statesville, N. C.; Charles Wood, in the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash.; Clark Wood, in the U. S. Army in Germany, and David Wood, at home; nine grandchildren, and one brother, Gail Wood of Brave. Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
