A son of Elisha and Rachel Zook Lippencott, he was born October 22, 1894 in Franklin Township and had resided all his life in the Waynesburg area.
Mr. Lippencott had been employed for more than 30 years by Moore's Bakery, and following his retirement was caretaker at the First Baptist Church. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Men's Bible Class of the Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Davis Lippencott, whom he married July 13, 1918; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Nyswander, of Clarksville, and Mrs. Henrietta Eastman, of Hyattsville, Md.; one son, Allen D. Lippencott, of Hyattsville, Md.; eight grandchildren and one brother, Ben Lippencott, of Washington.
One sister and five brothers are deceased.
