Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cowles Bristol officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ruby Pauline Moose Bost, 92, of Statesville, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House.
Mrs. Bost was born February 17, 1919 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Bessie Mae Bennett Moose. She was a graduate of Celeste Henkel School and in August of 1943, was married to Francis Roy Bost who preceeded her in death.
Mrs. Bost was retired from Beaunit Mills where she worked as a weaver. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and she was also a member of the Sarah Rebekah Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bost was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Dewey H. Moose, Sr., William A. Moose, Thomas W. Moose, Joseph Moose, Carl Moose, J.D. Moose, and Paul Moose along with three sisters, Gertrude Dishman, Violet Vogler, and Myrtle Maxine Moose.
She is survived by three sons, Allen R. Bost (Maryette), and Roger W. Bost (Linda), both of Statesville and Jeffery L. Bost (Cindy) of Concord, N.C. She is also survived by four grandsons, William P. Bost of Supply, N.C., Andrew L. Bost of Concord, N.C., Mark Vaughn (Sherrie) of Rocky Point, N.C., and Michael Vaughn (Connie) of Shallotte, N.C., along with three granddaughters, Elizabeth B. Perkins (Chase) of Las Vegas, NV, Melanie Vaughn of Newport, N.C., and Michelle Day (Devin) of Deep Run, N.C. She is further survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with The Rev. Cowles Bristol officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
