The San Diego Union-Tribune, December 7, 2004:

Fama was born on Sept. 8, 1917 in Clarksville, Arkansas. She married Sherman Rhett in 1943 and, as a navy wife, traveled extensively until they settled in California to raised a family, she passed away on Dec. 2, 2004. She is survived by her sister Helen Hale of Grants Pass, Ore., son John A. (Georgia M.) Rhett of Bakersfield, Ca., daughters, Priscilla E. Losito of Delray Beach, Fla., and Robin S. (David E.) Henry of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Martin C. Rhett, Margaret F. Auble, Keith A. Losito, Amanda S. Henry, Casey L. Henry and Eric Henry and a multitude of family and friends across the country. Fama was an Angel on earth and will be so missed by everyone. She blessed us all with such an unconditional love and her generosity, spirit and grace will live in our hearts forever. Visitation Wednesday, Dec. 8, from 10-2:30 p.m. with Services at 3 p.m. both in the Greenwood Garden Chapel. Interment Greenwood Memorial Park. Special thanks to Arbor Hills Nursing Center of La Mesa for the wonderful care.
