ERMA KOCHAN

Mrs. Ben Kochan, 61, of Francis Creek, died Tuesday morning at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a month's illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Rev. Joseph Rauch will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Erma Hessel in Francis Creek in 1893, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hessel, and in 1914 was married to Ben Kochan. They lived in Manitowoc for a time and then moved to Francis Creek.
Surviving are the husband, three daughters, Florence at home and Mrs. Ralph Fico and Mrs. Robert Peschman of Milwaukee; two brothers, Louis of Manitowoc and Edward of Francis Creek; four sisters, Mrs. William Bertler of Manitowoc, Miss Rose Hessel of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph Muench of Francis Creek and Mrs. John Fenlon of Cooperstown; and two grand-children.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Wednesday noon where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday by the Knights of Columbus and St. Ann Christian Mothers and at 8 p.m. by the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
