PRETTY CEREMONY IS PERFORMED AT WHITELAW TODAY
One of the charming spring weddings to be celebrated was that of Miss Caroline Gresl who became the bride of Harvey Denk at Whitelaw, at the St. Michael's church at nine o'clock this morning. The ceremony was read before a large gathering of relatives and friends by Rev. Theo. Pufahl.
Miss Marie Gresl attended the bride as the maid of honor with Alfred Gresl as the best man. Miss Nora Tuschel was the bridesmaid and Erwin Denk the other attendant. A reception with a dinner and supper was held at the bride's home for sixty relatives and friends.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gresl of Whitelaw and the groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Denk of Cato. Mr. and Mrs. Denk will make their home at Cato the groom being engaged in farming there.
The out of town guests present at the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gresl of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. A. Griesvach of Greensville, Ted. Schmidt of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. George Gresl of Appleton,and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pritzl of Greenville.

Mr. Harvey R. Denk, 78, of 1404 South 36th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday morning, July 13, at his residence. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Clarks Mills.
Mr. Denk was born March 16, 1906, in Manitowoc County, son of the late Michael and Mary Tuschel Denk. He married the former Caroline Gresl of May 6, 1930 at Whitelaw. Mr. Denk had been employed by Weyerhaeuser Company for 31 years, retiring in 1971. Mr. Denk was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline; three sons and daughters-inb-law, LeRoy and Laverne Denk of Two Rivers, Wilfred and Shirley Denk of Francis Creek and Dennis and Marion Denk of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-aw, Jeanette and Orville Radandt of Omro, Wisconsin and Audrey and LeRoy Christiansen of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Walter and a sister, Florence. Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
