Funeral services for Cleo B. Berry, 88, of Edina, will be held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon (September 12, 1984) in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina. The Rev. Luke Turnbough will conduct the services. Music will be provided by Fred Kinsel, soloist and Bessie Hudson organist. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Garden, Kirksville.

Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 this evening (September 12, 1984) in the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Berry died at 8:10 Sunday evening (September 6, 1984) in the Regional Hospital in Columbia.

Born September 6, 1896, near Novelty in Knox County, she was the daughter of Manuel Charles and Iva Myrtle Porter Perry. On May 22, 1920, at Quincy, Illinois, she was married to Stanley Russell Berry who preceded her in death on January 13, 1978. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Roscoe Perry, Gail Perry and Porter Perry.

Surviving are five sons; two daughters; one brother; one sister; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Berry was a life-long resident of Knox County and had lived in Edina the past 60 years. She attended Kirksville Normal School. During her earlier years, she taught rural Knox County school and in Novelty.

Mrs. Berry was a member of the Novelty Christian Church and attended the Edina Christian Church. She was also a member and past matron of Matilda Chapter No. 411, Order of the Eastern Star and Past District Deputy and Matron, Order of the Eastern Star.
