Funeral services for Artie Franklin Allred, 48, were conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. E. E. Taylor, pastor, officiated.
Pallbearers were Cecil Hanks, Jack Marshall, Volton Starks, Bedford Smith, O. M. Givens and Robert Klinkerman.
Interment was in the New Electra Cemetery under direction of James B. Totten Funeral Home.
Mr. Allred died at his home here Sunday morning following a long illness. He was a native of Rusk County, Texas and had lived in Wichita County 29 years. He was a former oil field worker, and prior to his illness was employed by the Wichita Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Clark and Misses Katherine and June Allred, all of Electra; three sons, Artie Franklin Jr., of Fort Worth and W. J. and Bobby Don Allred, both of Electra; his father, W. T. Allred of Beckville, Texas; six sisters, Mrs. John D. Stokes of Tyler, Mrs. Irby Grant of Henderson, Mrs. Charles Osborne of Beckville, and Mrs. Ed Jimmerson, Mrs. Angus Jimmerson and Mrs. Curtis Wallace, all of Henderson; one grandson David Clark, Electra; three brothers, Raymond of Tyler, Barney of Beckville and Rayford of Arp, Texas._
