"Preacher Baker," as he was well known, was an itinerate Baptist minister who found the Lord later in life. Never the pastor of a particular church assembly, he was well known as a powerful tent revival preacher in many parts of Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, conducting baptisms in rivers and streams.
