Mrs. Barbeau, 73, Dies in Her Home After Long Illness
Mrs. Anna E. Barbeau, 73, died in her home, 211 Lebanon Avenue, at 8 o'clock last night following a prolonged illness.

She was a native of Bellevile and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Staufenbiel, nee Francisca Engelmann, both natives of Germany. She married Charles J. Barbeau many years ago.

Surviving are a son, Fred C. Barbeau, St. Louis; a brother, John Staufenbiel, Sioux City, Ia., and a sister, Mrs. A.S. Johns, Towson, Maryland.

Mrs. Anna E. Barbeau, 73, of 211 Lebanon avenue, died at 8 o'clock last night at her home after being ill for eight weeks.

Born here, she was a daughter of Frederick and Francisca Engelmann Staufenbiel, both natives of Germany. She was married to Charles J. Barbeau.

She leaves a son, Fred C. Barbeau, of St. Louis; a brother and a sister, John Staufenbiel, of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. A.S. Johns, of Towson, Md. A sister, Theresa, preceded in death.

The body may be viewed at the Pete Gaerdner funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening. Funeral arrangements are pending. (The Belleville Daily Advocate, Belleville, IL, December 4, 1941)

Barbeau Funeral To Be Tomorrow
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna E. Barbeau, 73, of 211 Lebanon avenue, will be held at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Luke's Catholic Church with interment in Walnut Hill cemetery.
