She was born Nov. 19, 1912, in Jamestown, the daughter of Arthur L. and Jessie Measor Boardman. A 1932 graduate of Jamestown High School, she also attended the Moore Institute of Art and Science in Philadelphia.
Prior to retiring, she had been employed at Marlin-Rockwell Corp., Ed Schuyler's Catering Service, and had worked as a beautician.
She was a member of the Busti Fire Department Auxiliary, the Home Bureau, was past chief of Diana Lodge, the Democratic Women's Club, and had served on the election board in Busti. She was a former member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Daniel S. (Linda) Anderson of Busti; two daughters: Donna (Bill) Scanlan of Manchester, Iowa. and Darlene (Larry) Gauger of Frewsburg; eight grandchildren: Eva (Josh) Schreckengost of Randolph, Jennifer (Ryan) Munn of South Carolina, Anna (Scott) Wright of Frewsburg, Emily Gauger of Ohio, Ben Gauger of Frewsburg, Sarah (Richard) Cleary of Florida, Tom (Cara) Scanlan of Wisconsin, and Daniel (Amanda) Scanlan of Connecticut: six great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Bruce Boardman of Jamestown, and Rollie Boardman of Woolrich, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Einar Anderson, who died May 2, 1983; and by two brothers: John and Arthur (Bud) Boardman.
