Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2007 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Melancon Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas for Eula Bajat, age 97, the former Eula Boss, who passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 1:10 AM at her residence in Opelousas.
Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. The Rev. Jeff DeBlanc, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
She was a native of Cankton and a longtime resident of Sunset but was currently living in Opelousas.
Survivors include one son, Antoine Bajat, Jr. of Opelousas, one brother, Hubert Boss and his wife Anna Lee of Sunset, two sisters, Lilly Mae Noto and her husband Glenn of Carencro and Anna Jane Thibodeaux and her husband John of Sunset. Two grandchildren, Steve Bajat and his wife Sheri and Sammy Bajat and his wife Cindy. Three great-grandchildren, Brendon Bajat, Trent Bajat and Britney Bajat.
Her husband Antoine Bajat, Sr., her parents, Maurice Boss and Josephine Marks, preceded her in death.
Melancon Funeral Home of Opelousas, 4708 I-49 North Service Road was in charge of arrangements.
