Elizabeth Ann 'Lizzie' Chipman was born October 18, 1902 in Gorman, Texas (Eastland County), daughter of Charles Alexander Chipman (1865-1924) and America Jane Deaton Chipman (1869-1935).

In 1922, Elizabeth married Algen Norman 'Andy' Anderson, who was born November 28, 1901 in Kenedy, Texas (Karnes County), son of James H. Anderson and Laura Elizabeth Massengale.

The 1930 Federal Census for Precinct 1, Texas (Ellis County) shows Lizzie Anderson, age 27, born in Texas; and her husband, Algen, a farmer, age 28, born in Texas. Living with them were four children: Elbert A. Anderson, age 6; Lavada E. Anderson, age 5; Andy H. Anderson age 1 year 7 months; and Marie D. Anderson, age 3 months; all born in Texas.

The 1940 Federal Census for Galveston, Texas (Galveston County) shows Lizzie Anderson, age 37, born in Texas; and her husband, Algen, a building construction carpenter, age 38, born in Texas. Living with them were 10 children: Elbert Anderson, a CCC Camp laborer, age 17; Lavada Anderson, age 15; Andy Anderson, age 11; Mamie Anderson, age 10; Mildred Anderson, age 9; Billy Anderson, age 7; Dorothy Anderson, age 5; Alta Anderson, age 3; Jimmy Anderson, age 2; and Barbara Anderson, age 3 months; all born in Texas.

Elizabeth died November 30, 1974 in Webster, Texas (Harris County) and was buried in Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas (Galveston County). Andy died April 19, 1978 in Galveston, Texas (Galveston County) and was buried in Hayes Grace Memorial Park beside his wife.
