Mrs. Mollie Durden Green, age 90 of Soperton died Thursday, April 18, 2013.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Cogle and Mary E. Toler Durden, her loving husband of 53 years, J. D. Green, brothers, Rayford and Roy Durden and sisters, Jessie Kicklighter Smith and Trudy Hooks. She made her home between Macon, Lizella, Soperton, and Blairsville. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Lizella.
Mrs. Green was a foster mother to a number of children for DFACS for 17 years. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery, at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 21 with Pastor Ronnie Hollis, Jr. officiating.
A visitation will be held at the cemetery one hour before services.
Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, is in charge of arrangements.
