Mrs. Ahern was a third-grade teacher in Quincy before retiring in 1972. She graduated in 1929 from the Boston Teachers College. She has two daughters and two sons who live in the Chelmsford/Lowell area. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
