Maureen E. Asper, 63, of Middlesex Twp., Carlisle, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005.
She was born July 31, 1942 in Newport to the late George R. and Ada (Gipe) Longwell.
She was a homemaker; a graduate of Newport High School; and enjoyed reading, word puzzles, embroidery and listening to old radio shows.
Surviving are her husband, John W. Asper Jr. of Carlisle; two daughters, Melissa Kennedy of Shermans Dale and Jennifer Wilson of York Haven; a brother, Steve Longwell of Duncannon; three sisters, Georgia Meyer of Newport, Connie Geedy of Duncannon and Rita Nell of Florida; and three grandsons, Joshua Kennedy, Ian Kennedy and Nathaniel Wilson.
A graveside service was held Sept. 23 in Newport Cemetery.
