JEANNE LAVERNE MUELLER (d. 2006)

Jeanne L. Mueller, age 82, of 3703 Shepherd Lane, Manitowoc, died late Friday evening, Jan. 6, 2006, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Jeanne was born on Aug. 22, 1923, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Edith (George) Koskamp. She attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1941. On April 22, 1944, she married Richard Mueller at St. Mary Catholic Church in Evanston, Ill. Jeanne and Richard celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1994 and were married for 62 years. Jeanne was employed at the local Navy office during World War II. She then was employed at Park Dental in Manitowoc for many years as a receptionist. Jeanne also volunteered as a receptionist at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for many years. Jeanne was a former member of the St. James Episcopal Church, Manitowoc, where she was a proud member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher. She also was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella and Catholic Women's Club. Jeanne was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, Manitowoc. Survivors include her husband: Richard Mueller, Manitowoc; two sons and two daughters-in-law: James and Carole Mueller, Austin, Minn., Michael and Rebecca Mueller, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Attorney Barbara and Dr. Eric Puestow, Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Jenny (Lee) Holland and Eric Puestow, Lindsay (Trent) Brown, Travis (Danielle) Mueller, Katy Mueller and her fiance Jeremiah Janning, Ryan Mueller, and Lindsay Powalisz; one great-granddaughter: Elisie Brown; one sister: Joan Koskamp; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Donald and Ellen Mueller, Ashville, N.C., Mildred DeMuth, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law: career Naval Officer George and Irene Koskamp. She was also preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Harold Mueller, Paul Mueller, Eugene Mueller; and three sisters-in-law: Virginia Vukmann, Germaine Geiger, and Violet Mueller. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi - Waldo Site on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi - Waldo Site at 11 a.m. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be a family relative the Rev. Paul DeMuth, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who loved her family and was very devoted to her children. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jeanne's name. The Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
