Audrey Alda Carson, 73, of Garland, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 15, 2011.
Born January 8, 1938, in Crystal Springs, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Maye Hixon Fink.
She attended Southern Fulton High School, Warfordsburg, Pa.
She was an active member of Redeemer Bible Church in Garland and a volunteer for Baylor Hospital for 32 years.
She is survived by her husband, George Carson; three sons, Randy Carson, Henderson, Texas, Daniel Carson, Garland, Texas and Rodney Carson, Sachse, Texas; one brother, Harold Fink and wife Barbara, Breezewood, Pa.; five sisters, Dorothy Heeter, Fritch, Texas, Larue Witmer, Sharpsburg, Md., Ruby Calhoun and husband Albert, Breezewood, Pa., Velma Carson and husband Lee, Tyler, Texas and Mary Edna Ramsey and husband Lee, Breezewood, Pa.; six grandchildren, Zach Carson, Royse City, Texas; Jordan Carson, Orlando, Fla.; Colt Carson, Rockwall, Texas; Ashley Cunningham, Muskegon, Mich.; Laryn and Nyomi Carson, Sachse, Texas and three great-grandchildren, Rylie and Killian Cunningham, Muskegon, Mich. and Emma Carson, Orlando, Fla.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 17 at Redeemer Bible Church.
A service will be held Wednesday, April 20 at 11 a.m. at Amaranth Church of The Brethren, Amaranth, Pa. The Rev. Freeman Snair will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
