She was a homemaker and cook. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Ellis, and AARP.
She married Fred Dinkel on Sept. 13, 1938 in Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Fred; an infant son, Fred Jr.; a daughter, Bernice Ann Dinkel; a sister, Rosie Berens; an infant brother; three grandchildren, Daren James Dinkel, Darrell Joseph Dinkel and Gregg Haver; a great-grandson, Clayton Andrew Dinkel; a grandson-in-law, Randy Staude; and a daughter-in-law, Lou Ann (Fisher) Dinkel.
Survivors include seven sons, Harold, Freddy, Steven, Chester and Mike, all of Ellis, Henry of Sharon Springs and Edward of Assaria; seven daughters, Virginia Weigel of Eufaula, Okla., Marilyn Denning of Colby, Helen Fischer, Vera Harver and Marjorie Mickelson, all of Ellis, Bernadette Dinkel of the home in Ellis and Kathleen Willey of Belle Plaine; five sisters, Anna Geist of WaKeeney, Regina Schuster, Mary Schuster and Bertha Riedel, all of Ellis, and Ida Mae Windholz of Ogallah; 45 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis, the Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the church.
Memorials may be made to Ellis Nutrition Center or the church, in care of Wasinger Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis 67637. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral chapel and from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
