There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. MST today at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, Livingston, Mont.
Doris Ann Hoffman was born April 9, 1944, to John P. and Nellie (Nagel) Hoffman. She attended St Joseph Catholic School in Mandan and graduated from Mandan Senior High in 1963.
She married the love of her life, Martin Erhardt, on April 8, 1967. They farmed near Almont for a few years and then moved to Livingston, Mont., where their four children were born and raised.
Doris enjoyed working as a cook at the Livingston Senior Center where she made many friends. Doris was a quiet, shy person whose life revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, nicknamed Fun Sister by her youngest brother. Doris made many special recipes. One of the family favorites was her homemade caramel rolls.
Doris was an animal lover. Many pets knew her love and care through the years. Currently Charlie, Macey and Celia are holding down the home fort.
Doris is survived by her husband of 45 years, Martin; her children, Jason (Cindy), Billings, Mont., Cassandra, Bozeman, Mont., and Curtis (Val) and Troy, Hamilton, Mont.; her grandchildren, Derek, Dylan, Isabella, Gabriel, Maddlyn, Quentin and Troy and one great-grandchild; her sisters, Jane (Dale), Stanwood, Wash., Marge (Dan), Mandan; her sister-in-law, Jeanette, Bismarck; and her brother, John (Tracy), St. Francis, Minn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and three aunts.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mike.
