Elisabetha Miesse Dundor was the daughter of Johann Daniel Miesse, one of twelve Continental soldiers chosen by General George Washington to keep the fires lit on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River to deceive the enemy during the famous crossing of the Delaware on Christmas Day evening 1776 to attack the Hessians at Trenton, New Jersey, and Margaret Ebling Miesse.

She was the first wife of Johann Adam Dundor by whom she had nine children. She was the mother of Susanna Dundore Klopp.
