Sarah Drake Bone died June 9, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held on June 27 at 11a.m. in Spring Creek Baptist Church.

Sarah (Drake) Bone was born on June 20, 1944, in Orange. Mrs. Bone was completely devoted to her family and the joy of her life was her grandchildren. She was an avid genealogist and floral designer. She was a charter member of The Hamilton County Genealogy Society, The Hamilton County Historical Society, and the DDY.

Sarah married her high school sweetheart, Tony Bone, on Oct. 20, 1962, and moved to the Houston area in 1965 and to Magnolia in 1982. She was a wonderful Christian lady who will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Mrs. Bone was preceded in death by her grandparents Allen Dehart and Nellie Stephens Dehart, Samuel Marshal Drake, and Mamie Ann Bloodworth Drake; parents, Sam A. Drake and Mildred Dehart Drake.

Survivors include her husband, Tony; sons, Mike, and wife Donna Bone, Ronnie, and wife Ellen Bone; grandchildren, David Bone, and Stacie and Jason Bone; brothers Al Drake, and Sam Drake, and sister, Mildred Damewood.

Per Mike Bone's request, Sarah's memorial was moved to Little Cowhouse Cemetery on Nov. 9, 2022, where she rests in peace with her husband, Tony. Their marker was moved in 2021 when Tony passed away.
