DONIPHAN (Special)--Mrs. Clara Bond, wife of Charlie Bond, died Tuesday at her farm home southeast of Doniphan after a lingering illness. Mrs. Bond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wylie Smith, was born in the same home where she died 68 years later. She was married to Mr. Bond in 1915, and they had lived on the home farm ever since.
Surviving are her husband; four brothers, George Smith of Harbor City, Calif., Albert Smith, Wadena, Minn., Orville and Charles Smith, Doniphan, and one sister, Mrs. Laura Howland, Pacific Grove, Calif. Mrs. Howland had been in Doniphan with her sister for several weeks. Preceding Mrs. Bond in death were her parents and three sisters, Mary, Lucy, and Mrs. Emma Snearly.
Funeral services will be held in the Presbyterian Church at Hansen, with burial in Cedar View Cemetery, Doniphan.
