Lucille Agnes (Hoelter) Branding, 76, of Alton, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 1993, at her residence.

Born in Granite City on Aug. 16, 1916, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Alton, Daughters of the Nile, past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Edwardsville, and secretary of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 667.

Survivors include her husband Norman L. Branding, whom she married in 1939 in Litchfield; two daughters;, LaVerne Primas of Edwardsville and Linda K. Joseph of Chesterfield, Mo.; two brothers Raymond J. and Alvin F. Hoelter, both of Granite City; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Casper and Mary Theresa (Beide) Hoelter; and three brothers, Edward, George and Lawrence Hoelter.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. today at Main Street United Methodist Church, Alton, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, with the Rev. William D. Fester officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Bethalto. Arrangements are by Elias Smith Funeral Home, Alton.

Memorials are suggested for Wood River Township Hospital Hospice.
