JOHN B. ATTEBERRY
---John B. Atteberry, one of the first settlers of Macon County, died at his home in La Plata Wednesday morning at 1:45 after an illness continuing about a year.
---Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church this afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Rev. J.W. Bradley after which the remains were laid to rest in the La Plata cemetery.
---He is survived by his wife, three sons, Claude of Denver, Colorado, Clare of La Plata and Frank of Tennessee; three daughters, Mrs. C.A. Colman and Mrs. J.H. Colman of near Callao and Mrs. Frank Gross of La Plata besides a host of friends.
---Mr. Atteberry was born March 19, 1832 in Kentucky and came to Macon county with his parents when a young man, settling on a farm in the western part of Macon County. He has been a resident of La Plata for the past four years.
