"Mary E Thomson Died.

Mrs. Mary E Thompson, widow of Sylvester Thompson, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Earl Wallace, in Louisville. Sunday afternoon after a long illness due to the infirmities of old age, being in her 84th year.

Mrs. Thompson ba? resided in Scottsburg for 40 years, when she and her husband moved here from Johnson township. She was a sister of the late John T Mitchell, and had lived all her life in the county. Her only daughter was the wife of Truman Hubbard. Her nearest relatives are daughters of Mrs. Hubbard, Mrs. Ethel Wallace, of Louisville, Mrs. Bess Craig, Scottsburg, and Mrs. Faye Hedge, of Indianapolis. Mrs. Thompson was a devoted member of the Scottsburg M E church, moving her membership here from the Wooster M E church. The funeral was held Tuesday from the M. E. church with burial at Scottsburg Cemetery."
