BHerbert H. Bell, 73, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at the Golden Age Guest Home in Sykesville.

He was the husband of Dorean Elizabeth (Henderson) Bell for 50 years.

Born Dec. 7, 1929, in Elkins, W. Va., he was the son of the late Minor Vanburen and Bessie Eva Day Bell.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a self employed carpenter with his brother, Eugene, at Bell & Bell contractors.

He was a member of the NRA and the American Legion.

Surviving also are two sons, Russell Bell of Manchester and Marty Bell of Westminster; two daughters, Ellen Bell of Reisterstown and Rebecca Ross of Florida; 10 grandchildren; five brothers, Joseph Marion, Harry Boston, James Norman, Harvey Minor and Franklin Delano Roosevelt Bell; and five sisters, Mable Fay, Bessie Leah, Mildred Virginia, Ruth Alice and Cathryn Ellen Bell.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Colleen Susan, Jane Castro and Shirley Eugene Bell.

A private funeral will be held Saturday at the Myers Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster.

The Rev. John C Morrill will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.

Visitation will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Elderburg, Md., 21784.
