John Francis Chenault is the son of John Franklin Chenault and Emma Mae Sisney Chenault.

John Francis Chenault, 45, a former resident of Boyce, Louisiana, died in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 27, 1966 after a long illness. He was a superintendent in the U. S. Corps of Engineers in the Shreveport area. A native of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, he had resided in Shreveport for 12 years. Mr. Chenault was a member of the Rose Park Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II.

Funeral services well be held in the Osburn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Friday with the Reverend Edwin K. Peters, pastor of Rose Park Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by the Reverend D. C. Jenson, pastor of the 8th Street Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Burial will be in Forest Park West Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Stickell Chenault; three daughters, Edna Mae Dawson of White Sands, New Mexico, Norma Jane Chenault and Eva Marie Chenault, both of Shreveport; a grandson, Bobby W. Dawson; his father John Franklin Chenault, former Boyce, Louisiana town marshal and his step mother, Mrs. Louise Blanche Chenault of Boyce, Lousiana; a brother, Thomas Franklin Chenault of Boyce, Louisiana; half-brother, Albert Blanchard (AB) Chenault of Boyce, Louisiana; and, three half-sisters, Mrs. W. J. Bond of Boyce, Louisiana, Mrs. H. W. Garrett of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Mrs. John Bailey of Jackson, Mississippi.
