Jordan Day "J.D." Adams, 75, of Huntsville went home to Heaven on Sunday.
Mr. Adams was a member of Huntsville Park Baptist Church. He retired from SCI in 1992. Mr. Adams loved horses and was very actively involved until his health declined.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lucious T. and Viola Adams; brothers, Wilburn Clifton, James William, Joe Henry, Clifford Edward, Willie Rozell, Robert L.T. and Shelvie Adams; and sisters, Effie Mae Alverson, Maudie Lola Raines and Elsie Elizabeth Campbell.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Josephine Cagle Adams; daughters, Betty Thrower and Marie Daniels and husband, Don; grandchildren, Sara Thrower, Adam, Andrew and Alicia Daniels; brother, Lucious T. Adams Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mylon Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Huntsville Park Baptist Church.
