Gus Burgess was born in Kendall, July 22, 1869, and died at his home Sunday, Feb. 24, at the age of 55 years. Mr. Burgess has mad his home in this city for the past four years, and before coming here the family resided on their farm northwest of town.
Deceased is survived by his wife and two children, one daughter, Mrs. Leo Howard and a son, Henry. He also leaves two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. John Dower, Chicago, Albert, Darlington, August, Milford, Tenn.
Funeral services were held from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery.
