        Albert Patton is Killed in Mines
    Albert Patton, aged 29, of 79 Downing street, was instantly killed yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the Chauncey colliery when he was caught beneath a fall of rock. Deceased had been formerly engaged with the Hudson Coal Co. but started his first day's employment at the Chauncey colliery when the accident occurred. He was born in Plymouth and was one of the town's most prominent young men. He was veteran of the World War, having served with distinction as a member of Battery C, 109th Field Artillery. As a life-long resident of Plymouth, Mr. Patton endeared himself to a large following of friends through a quiet and unassuming disposition and a friendly nature. He was a member of Henderson Gaylord Council, Jr. O. U. A. M., and Shawnee Post, American Legion.
    Deceased is survived by his wife, nee Miss Mae Jopling, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs: John Jopling and three children, Albert, Jr., Laverne and John. His mother, Mrs. Martha Patton, his grandmother, Mrs. William Ellis, Sr., a pioneer resident of Plymouth, and the following brothers and sisters, also survive: Walter Patton, Irving Patton, Plymouth; Mrs. William Hall, West Nanticoke; Robert Patton, Joseph Patton, Larksville; Ernest Patton, Henry Patton and Mrs. William Cooper, Plymouth. The remains have been taken to the home of his mother, Mrs. Martha Patton, rear 52 Academy street. from where the funeral will be held at a time to be announced later.
