Stepto Brown, 68, of Tallula, formerly of Springfield, died Sunday at St. John's Hospital after a month's illness. Mr. Brown had been an employe of the International Shoe Co. of Springfield, for 40 years. Born on May 14, 1892, in Henry County, Ky., he was the son of Samuel C. and Julia Razor Brown, and was married on Oct. 11, 1917, to Eliza Roderick. During the last four months he was a resident of Tallula. He had been a poultry farmer during the last six years.
He is survived by his wife, Eliza M., one son, Paul Brown; a daughter, Mrs. Francis Lanham; two brothers, Strother R. Brown and John W. Brown; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
