Edward Lee Whitaker, aged 27 years, son of the late J. K. and Eula Mooney Whitaker, died at his home at Coldwater, Saturday morning, February 19, 1938, at 2 o'clock, after a lingering illness. The funeral service was held at the Methodist Church at Coldwater Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Elder R. A. Largen and the Revs. J. A. Stroud and M. T. Ellis. Burial at Prosperity Cemetery. He is survived by his mother and four brothers and two sisters, J. C., Thomas J., and Howard Whitaker of Coldwater, J. K. Whitaker of Cleveland, Mississippi, Mrs. W. D. Flannigan of Coldwater, and Mrs. Roy Ables of Harms.
