Daughter of John Burbridge and Louisa (MNU), she was born in Hartford or Middletown, CT or possibly New York (censuses vary). The name often switches between Burbidge and Burbridge. She had seven known siblings:

Clarissa Burbridge, Mary Newport (married Thomas Huntington), Elizabeth (married Elisha Mix), Louisa (unmarried), William H (possibly died of a mortal wound in Chili in 1812), Charles (married Rhoda Wolcott) and James (married Elizabeth Nott). (A few more identified since writing this).

I think I have correctly linked the Hyatts she is buried with, some of which are grandchildren. All of her sisters and their families are in adjoining lots at Green-Wood.

Information provided by Bob Collins:

Died Aug 15 1878, aged 81.
Widow of John W. Hyatt

Her cemetery records indicate she was 81 years 7 months 13 days, translating to a date of birth of Jan 2, 1797.

John M Hyatt died in CA during the Gold Rush and was mentioned in an obit in Brooklyn as having died October 17, 1849 in Yuba River, CA. I believe the M was a typo and that he was the husband of Cornelia based on other info in the obituary. He was also known as John B and John W Hyatt, even in the Green-Wood Cemetery records, which I have obtained.

All of the sisters but Mary were living together in Brooklyn on Adelphi Street in the 1850 Census. In August, 2013 I went to the address and found that the home is no longer there, probably having made way for a highway.

Year of birth based on age at death. Burial date per Green-Wood search is Aug 18, 1878
