Daughter of ??? Burbridge and Louisa (MNU), she was born in Hartford or Middletown, CT. The name often switches between Burbidge and Burbridge. An excerpt of her obituary in the New York Evening Post on July 17, 1857, lists her as 76 years old. She had seven known siblings:

Cornelia Hyatt, Mary Huntington, Elizabeth Mix, Louisa (unmarried), William H, Charles (married Rhoda Wolcott??) and James (married Elizabeth Nott).

Clarissa never married. She was living with her sisters in Brooklyn in 1850. Family journals noted that her brother visited her in Hamden CT before she died so she might have died there. Further research will hopefully clarify all the details.

She is buried here at Green-Wood with her sisters and their families in two adjoining lots. It looks like she was moved as Green-Wood has her burial date as October 10, 1907.
