NORTHWOOD MAN KILLED IN BALER
Arm, Shoulder Drawn Into Machine on Farm

Northwood — Edwin Eilertson, 19, of Northwood, was killed Friday when he was caught in a hay baler on the Orlin Groe farm west of Northwood.

Eilertson, who was employed by the Holstad Motor Sales company of Northwood, was running the baler alone when the accident occurred. The other helpers had gone to the barn and when they returned, they found his body with an arm and shoulder crushed. Bruises also indicated a blow on the head.

According to Sherriff Carl Sheimo, circumstances indicated that Eilertson had stopped the tractor and gone to the baler to push through some hay which had become stuck. The victim is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Toby Eilertson of Northwood, a brother Leslie, 2 sisters, Mrs. Alfred Hanson and Mrs. Merlin Spilde, living near Northwood, and another sister at home.

The body was taken to the Klein funeral home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete
