Galen Lawson, 62, of Cincinnati, O., formerly of Scott County, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 28, 1987, at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. Mr. Lawson was the son of the late Andrew Lawson and the late Lucinda Jeffers Lawson and was also preceded in death by one infant sister. Mr. Lawson was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Cincinnati, O., and was also a Mason, belonging to his Lodge in Mason, O. He was also a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Dollie Harness Lawson of Cincinnati, O.; one son, Hoyal Lawson of Cincinnati, O.; two daughters: Annette Lawson and Audrey Gardner, both of Cincinnati, O.; one son-in-law, Bill Gardner of Cincinnati, O.; five granddaughters; two sisters: Ethel Phillips and Hazel Borgman, both of Cincinnati, O.; two brothers: Howard Lawson of Cincinnati, O., and Argel Lawson of the Capital Hill community; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, at the Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Roy Canfield and Rev. James L. Lloyd officiating. The Calvary Baptist Church Choir sang. Burial was in the Carson Memorial Park. Pallbearers were: Jan Byrd, Dennie Yaden, Mike Hamby, Jasper Lawson, Gene Yaden, and Quinton Yaden.
