CUSHING - Mary E. Anderson, 96, formerly of Cushing, died Tuesday at Lutheran Senior Citizens Home, Little Falls. Funeral services will be Friday at Cushing Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cushing Union Cemetery.

Mary Anderson was born Sept. 2, 1891 in Springdale, Ark., to George and Malinda Warinner. She married Jens C. Anderson Nov. 30, 1908 in Lincoln, Minn.

She was employed as a clerk at Eckblads Store in Cushing many years. She was Cushing Township treasurer for 40 years and a member of Cushing Baptist Church and Cushing Women's Club. She also served on District 111 School Board. She had been a resident at Lutheran Senior Citizens Home for seven years.

Survivors include sons and daughters: Arthur, Simi Valley, Calif.; Albert, Santa Maria, Calif.; Duane, Cleburne, Texas; Mrs. Ruth Garrison and Mrs. Henry (Doris) Harrison, Little Falls; Mrs. Elver (Catherine) Lewis and Mrs. Arlene Nelson, Cushing; sister, Mrs. Alice Stickney, Grass Valley Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Oct. 2, 1927; daughter Lila; three brothers; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Gerald and Robert Anderson, Lorence Eckblad, James and Thomas Harrison and Ronald Nelson.
