A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, at 1:30 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Donald E. "Cass" Darr, Jr. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Sylvia was born May 24, 1941 in West Virginia, daughter of the late Kellis I. Metz and Eula Vaughan Metz. She retired as a pre-school teacher from Meadowland and other local church schools. She had a love for life, the beach, and the Washington Redskins. She especially enjoyed and adored her children and grandchildren.
She was married to Donald E. Darr, Sr. [1937-1996]
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Rae Hall and husband Stanley of Glen Burnie, MD and Debora Dawn Darr of Front Royal; a son, Donald E. "Cass" Darr, Jr. and wife Beth of Morrisville, NC; five grandchildren, Clint Darr, Samantha Marsingill, Jake Darr, Jodie Darr, and Jessica Fairweather and husband Danny; one great-grandson, Gage Fairweather; and another great-grandchild on the way.
The family invites all to celebrate the life of Sylvia on Sunday, February 24, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
