James H. Hutchison Sr., 81, of 2214 S. 16th St., died Tuesday evening at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where he was a patient for the past eight weeks.
He was born Oct. 3, 1897 in Sheboygan, a son of John M. and Amalia Katte Hutchison. He attended district grade school in the Town of Sheboygan.
On May 31, 1924, he married Janet Huibregtse of Sheboygan. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1974.
Mr. Hutchison was employed as an iron construction worker for various firms in Milwaukee, retiring in 1963.
He was a member of the Bethany Reformed Church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Lois) Graff. Of Northfield, Minn., and Mrs. Bruce (Judith) Schael, of Wind Lake, Wis.; Two sons, James H. Jr., of West Bend and John M., of Sheboygan; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Cornelius, Theodore, Andrew, Clarence and Henry, all of Manitowoc, Edward, of Sheboygan, and Harry, of Independence, Mo., and three sisters, Mrs. Herman Hecker, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Josephine Klein, of Two Rivers, and Mrs. Ann Gutknecht, of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and four brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Reformed Church, Rev. Larry Izenbart, pastor, officiating.
Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels from 6 p.m. Friday, until 11 a.m. Saturday and at the church from noon until time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Hutchison's name for Bethany Reformed Church.
